Joseph A. Pasquinelli AIA

Principal

As a design principal and founder of the firm, Joe approaches each project with a balanced commitment to strong design that is grounded in practical thinking. He addresses client needs and goals with a focus on creative solutions, design integrity, and attention to detail. He considers all projects fertile ground for innovation and out-of-the-box solutions and works diligently to achieve these results.

Born in south suburban Chicago to a family of home builders, Joe worked summers as a carpenter for the family business and discovered an interest in the built environment.  After attending Miami University in Oxford Ohio he went on to study at Yale University where he received his Master’s degree in Architecture.  Joe began his professional career at the “University” of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill where he first met Jeff Miller and Scott Hindsley, his current business partners. Today, this team has enjoyed great success through collaborations with talented staff and by building lasting client relationships.

When not sketching and leading the design process, Joe can be found hacking around the golf course, as his skills have deteriorated incrementally each year after being a near scratch player in high school.  He also enjoys skiing, fitness, photography, spending time with his two children Olivia and Marco, and sipping wine with his wife Mary in their garden.

Joe has been very supportive of Roosevelt University in Chicago where he is on the Board of Trustees; he also sits on the Advisory Board of the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate at Roosevelt University. Additionally, Mary and Joe support Common Hope, an NGO that helps the poor in Guatemala, where they frequently travel.
