TWO NEW OFFICE BUILDINGS TOTALING 330,000 SF PLANNED FOR AN EXISTING GOLF RESORT
The recent purchase of the Oakbrook Hills Resort and Golf Club presented an opportunity for our Client to leverage the strength of the resort’s brand to promote the potential addition of two new office buildings on this scenic property in Chicago’s western suburbs. Key to this revitalization is the addition of a parking structure within the existing surface parking lot that’s centrally located to serve the new office buildings and the existing resort simultaneously. An improved roadway network organizes vehicular circulation on site, providing equal access to all uses while remaining focused on the existing hotel, conference center and golf club.
Situated to maximize views of the golf course beyond, the buildings were conceived with a saw-toothed profile to create multiple building corners, an uninterrupted glass line to maximize the sweeping views, and multiple exterior rooftop terraces for upper floor tenants to connect with the ambiance of this setting. Projecting sun shades are intended to animate the façade by creating depth and texture while controlling the sun’s glare for the office users within.
