RENOVATION OF AN EXISTING GOOSE ISLAND WAREHOUSE
With a shortage of space and a quick schedule driving the project, this 80,000 SF existing building was unoccupied, appropriately sized, and in the right location for CH Robinson’s expanding work force. Interior design efforts were focused on creating an open, light filled Call Center, while exterior work was largely limited to the main entry and access to the newly formed 160 car parking garage in the existing lower level. Utilizing a raised floor system to facilitate easy relocation of power, data and communication needs, this building houses a data disaster recovery center and is designed to support a staff of 750. ARCHIDEAS is the Architect of Record on this fast-track design/build project, collaborating with Pope Associates Inc. of St. Paul as project designer, to support a 9 month design and construction schedule.
